  • 1 cup canned pumpkin puree Plain puree - not pie filling
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs - Room temperature
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • cups all-purpose flour - Spoon & level
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Equipment

  • 1 9×5 inch loaf pan (Grease thoroughly)
  • 1 Small skillet (For browning butter)
  • 1 Large mixing bowl
  • 1 Whisk

  • 1 Toothpick (For doneness test)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 °F and grease the loaf pan thoroughly before mixing ingredients.
    Scoop the batter into greased loaf pans, bake until golden and a toothpick comes out clean
  2. In a small skillet, melt butter until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma.
    Gently fold the dry mixture into the pumpkin batter just until no streaks remain
  3. Whisk together pumpkin puree, sugars, oil, eggs, vanilla, and sour cream until smooth.
    In another bowl, whisk pumpkin puree, granulated sugar, brown sugar, oil, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk flour, spices, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
    In a large bowl, whisk together the all‑purpose flour, baking soda, salt, and pumpkin spice blend.
  5. Pour batter into the pan, bake about 60 minutes until a toothpick shows moist crumbs, then cool.
